Next Governor of California
Who will be The Next Governor of California?
Sounds almost like a game show doesn't it? Unfortunately, it is exactly like a new game show from The Game Show Network.
Riding on the back of all the excitement over the California Recall Election, the GameShow Network is putting on a game show spoofing the much talked about recall elections.
It seems everyone is taking advantage of these elections. Late night talk show hosts, morning disc jockeys, people selling Gary Coleman for Governor t-shirts or Arnold Schwarzenegger t-shirts are all around.
Leave it to the t-shirt whores at t-shirthell to pimp this new t-shirt craze. Actually, their design is better than most I've seen out there. The fact that you can get it on a hoodie, baseball t-shirt or retro ringer also gives them a few extra points. If you're ready to join the craze, pick up this great t-shirt today.

The Wire HBO
I usually don't review tank tops, since I'm not much of a tank top wearer, but the HBO series, The Wire, is worthy of an exception.
I started watching this show last season (its first) when I was up late nights working on websites. I would have HBO on in the background, and I have a knack for listen-watching a tv show in the background while I work on the computer in my office.
After a couple of episodes, I found myself watching-watching the show and doing less work during the hour this HBO original series was on.
By the end of the first season, I was staying up to watch the show, even when I didn't have work to do. This was LBT (Life Before Tivo), so I was a prisoner to the scheduling of clueless TV executives.
This season, I've got my wife hooked on the show, and we've got a TiVo Season Pass for The Wire so we never miss an episode. Now if they could only make a decent t-shirt or sweatshirt for the show, I'd be a fan of their t-shirts as well!
UPDATE: I just checked the HBO Store and they now have The Wire t-shirts. Hint: Click the List All Shows in the Shop By Shows option in the side menu.

Sparky Penguin Modern World
There's just something cool about penguins.
Maybe it's the formal wear they sport on every occasion. It could be the way the strut around the ice like they are the pimps of the bird world. If penquins are the pimps, who would be the hoes? Probably those pink flamingos...yeah, they're kinda freaky like that.
Tom Tomorrow knows the coolness of penguins. Why else would he include one named Sparky in his "This Modern World" comic strip?
Tom made this penguin even cooler by giving him a pair of Cyclops-esque visor sunglasses.
If you're a big fan of penguins, or the popular This Modern World politcal comic strip, pick up your Sparky t-shirt today.
There's definitely something in his store that you'll have a laugh at.

Fighting Whites
I love stories like this:
A few friends get together a well meaning idea to have some fun. The press gets a hold of the story and runs with it. The friends are thrust into the limelight and do something positive and productive with the new found fame.
The Fighting Whites is just such a story.
It started out as a group of college friends that wanted to play a little after school basketball. They came up with the name of the team, The Fighting Whites, to poke fun at the stereotypical indian image used in professional sports logos.
What started out as a lesson in satire, grew to a full blown non-profit business venture for that group of friends. With the help of CafePress, they now sell funny and satirical t-shirts with the Fighting Whites, and Fighting Whities logo and supporting catchphrase "Everything's Gonna Be All White".
Because of the media attention and the success in selling their t-shirts, they have been able to create a scholoship fund to the tune of $100,000!
So when you pick up your own Fighting Whites t-shirt, you know your money is going for a good cause!

Camaro Z28 Nationals
Today's t-shirt is in comemmoration of the purchase of my new whip. A Silver 1997 Camaro RS Convertible:
I don't think I appreciated Camaros before we printed the t-shirts for the CamaroZ28.com nationals. After we shipped the tees, I started looking around at varios Camaro models from '67 till 2000.
I've always wanted a convertible car, and silver has been one of my favorite car colors for a while now. So when we saw this car for sale, we jumped on it right away.
I won't be driving it much, since I work from home now, but at least I can wear my CamaroZ28 nationals t-shirt with pride now. It was truly one of the nicest designs our art team has created! And for only $10 bucks (including shipping), you can't go wrong!

Gary Coleman for Governor in California
It's official, Gary Coleman is running for Governor for the State of California.
This design expresses the frustration of many Californians, just looking for some light at the end of the Gray tunnel that we have been stuck in for years now.
Corruption, mismanagement, low approval ratings, all describe the current gubernatorial goof our golden state has been graced with.
Can Gary Coleman stand up for California and fix steer us in the right direction? Will Arnold Schwarzenegger pump up California? Will Gallagher smash the competition?
If you're just happy to be a Californian in our current state of affairs (or even if you're a bit nervous at what is to come), the No to Gray - Yes To Gary t-shirt is the perfect shirt to keep you sane!

Pigeon John
I just got my Pigeon John t-shirt in the mail today and it looks great!
Pigeon John is a hip hop artist from southern california that could really change the way you think about hip hop music.
If you're not a fan of hip hop, pigeon john's lyrics and delivery will make you give the genre an honest second look. An underground rapper whose style borderlines on gospel, Pigeon spits lyrics that are both hard hitting and uplifting. His fun, freestyle delivery will keep this disc in your player for weeks.
As for the t-shirts he sells, we'll let's just say he's not modest :) A cool silhoutte design of Pigeon John's profile emblazens the front of the ash gray t-shirt I received in the mail today.
A crisp navy blue screen print is centered on the front of the heavyweight, 58/42 tee. And here I thought they only made 50/50 tees, Pigeon John is so unique, he gets his own t-shirt blend :-) I've never been a big fan of poly/cotton blend shirts, but this t-shirt is a nicer weight and a better feel than many of the 100% cotton t-shirts I own!
If you're already a fan of hip hop and are looking for something different, check out Pigeon John's CD, "Pigeon John is Clueless". Trust me, you'll be headed over to his site to pre-order his new joint so you can be one of the first to check the new tracks.
If you're a t-shirt fan, and just want a unique t-shirt that will get people asking questions, pick up the t-shirt while you're in the Pigeon John grocery store.

Tennis BALLS
It is SO refreshing when a t-shirt designer comes along that just "gets it".
When I saw these BALLS t-shirts on Tease Shirts I could just tell that the designer of these shirts GETS the t-shirt microwave-art medium:
a moving, meaningful, beautiful message, condensed down to the 3 seconds most people take to look at the front of your shirt.
When you see these BALLS t-shirts, you can see the message right away.
A clearly worded message: BALLS, for the sports fan out there. Bold, easy to read font, nothing fancy, but that's just how sports are...nothing fancy. Just "out there". Embedded in the message is the specific sport theme to suit your taste.
Love baseball? They've got baseballs embedded in the word BALLS. Like billiards/pool, they've got a design with pool BALLS in the design. Myself, I'm a tennis player from way back. If it wasn't for that leg injury, Pete Sampras watch out (yeah right!). Within seconds of seeing the shirt, I was motivated to go out on the court and get back into the game.
That's what a shirt should do. Move you in some way or another. I like the reaction I get when I wear a shirt that people "get". I've already added this t-shirt to my shopping cart.
If you're a sports fan, or like t-shirts that take a little risque risk, head on over to Tease Shirts and get your own cool tee!

Daddy Drinks Because I Cry Baby
When I got this t-shirt in the mail and showed my wife, her first reaction was:
"That is SOOOO inappropriate!"
Actually, that was her only reaction. But that is the expected reaction when buying a t-shirt from t-shirt hell.
As one of the biggest t-shirt shops on the web, their schtick is t-shirts laden with insults, obscene sayings, and funny thoughts.
While many of the shirts go WAAAY over the top for your average consumer, there seems to be a large market for offensive shirts these days. You're either selling politcal designs or you're selling offensive funny t-shirts.
This design in particular is actually one of their more "tame" designs. When I saw it, I laughed out loud. I knew my daughter might only wear the shirt around the house (although the funny stares from the supermarket shoppers might be worth the risk), it still is a funny design.
For those of you that have kids, and have kids that may have colic, or not like to sleep through the night, you know you've probably tried everything to help your kids feel better. Walking around, driving around in the car, anything to see your baby's smile peek through those fussy moments.
Sometimes after all that and the baby is back to sleep, you need a little somethin' somethin' for yourself just to stay sane and make it through the night. Not all the time of course...but they say in moderation, a glass of red wine...
Ah, screw it, just grab a beer and have fun with this t-shirt!

Tivo
Earlier this year, or maybe it was late last year (you lose some sense of time when you get hooked on Tivo), my friend Jamie gave me the skinny on this cool service called Tivo.
I think he unknowingly released the true TV watcher in me.
As many internet geeks, I keep odd hours. Sometimes, when you want to relax and watch some TV at 3:00am, infomercials just won't cut it anymore.
Along comes Tivo.
Now I can record my favorite shows (and it will record shows for me that I didn't even know I would like) and watch them on MY schedule. No more Pasta Pot commercials at 2AM (darn thing rusted after the second use). Now I can watch full episodes of The Family Guy from adultswim, a Law and Order rerun that I never got a chance to watch, or even an episode of Cheaters that usually comes on too late for me on Sundays.
Tivo really changes the way you watch TV. I can skip through commercials, pause live tv so my wife and I can talk about something we just saw, get a season pass to The Wire so I never miss an episode. With a new baby in the house, it sometimes takes my wife and I a few days to fully watch a movie. With Tivo, that's no problem at all :)
Basically what I'm saying is that every household in America should own a Tivo. It's that simple.
While I'm at it, I declare that every household in the world should own a Tivo T-Shirt. Get Yours!

Do it eBay
I'll admit...I am a undisputed eBay Junkie.
You can find just about ANYTHING on ebay at any given moment.
Last week I needed an 1394 ilink cable for my digital camcorder to hookup to my laptop and a quick search of ebay found one at a price much less than the retail electronics stores wanted for it.
Yes, eBay even has cool t-shirts. Here's a selection of some of the current t-shirtauctions currently on eBay:
Since this eBay t-shirt was only $14 and they don't charge extra for XXL sizes, I just had to pick one up. It is a cool Navy Blue t-shirt with a slick 3D looking print that says "Do it eBay".
They call the 6.1 ounce t-shirt they use for the design "Magnum weight". I've only heard that weight t-shirt called heavyweight, or premium weight. But magnum just sounds tough. Makes me want to wear the shirt and go out and wrangle up some cattle. I may just change the descriptions of the shirts I sell that are that weight to "Magnum weight".
If you're an eBay junkie like me...go get yourself an eBay auction t-shirt.

caffeine is my co-pilot
That's right, I said it. I loooooove caffeine.
I'm not a Mt. Dew freak like my buddy Brad, but I will drink a few Red Bulls, some shots of expresso, maybe a coffee or 3.
I mean, it's not all the time...and I could quit anytime I want to. Just every now and then, there's this website that I just *have* to finish, or a review I just to keep writing. Most of the time I'm just clickety clicking around the internet and I just haven't gotten my fill.
There must be some benefits to caffeine, right? I mean, people just wouldn't keep drinking and drinking if they didn't get anything out of it.
If for nothing else, caffiene inspired this cool t-shirt that expresses my expresso excitement. I really like how all the brown shades remind me of a nice hot coffee from my local javajoint.
