SweatX - Sweatshop Free
Have you ever stopped to take a look at the tag in the t-shirts you buy? Ever wondered where those t-shirts are made and under what conditions?
I just took a peek at the tag in the Fat Albert Platinum FUBU t-shirt I'm wearing and it reads "Made in India".
There is an international movement to raise the quality of the working conditions and the quality of life for factory workers worldwide. SweatX is a big part of that movement.
Founded by Ben Cohen's (Ben & Jerry's) Hot Fudge Social Venture Fund, SweatX Clothing is made in downtown Los Angeles by the TeamX sewing cooperative. All former sweatshop workers, each member now has a union contract preserving dignified working conditions, living wages, medical insurance, a pension and a share of profits through co-op ownership. SweatX is made close to home and proves that globalization doesn't have to rob from laborers.
SweatX asks you to think globally and buy Union when you cast your Vote when you spend your t-shirt dollars. By looking for a SweatX label in the neckline, or a Made in America label, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of those good folk that make the t-shirts you wear.
Every t-shirt you buy may not come from a Union factory in the US. The reality of the matter is that clothing made in America costs significantly more than those manufactured in other countries. I just hope that you take time every now and then to give something back to the t-shirt and garment community.
Buying t-shirt sweatshopfree t-shirt from SweatX is a step in the right direction. I bought my SweatX t-shirt for only $8.95; SweatX is changing the idea that sweatshop free has to mean expensive!

Dude, WTF?
Every now and then, you run across a t-shirt site that just gets it.
EbaynHam is one of those sites. When you go to the EbayNHam homepage, you see what a t-shirt site should look like.
Pictures of t-shirts.
Beautiful pictures of t-shirts, carefully laid out, presented in a way that makes it easy to read the design on the t-shirt without having to scroll or zoom or click.
I went to the EbayNHam site today and immediately saw a t-shirt that caught my eye. With one click I saw an even larger view of the t-shirt artwork, size options (up to 5XL), several color options, related product options (Mug, Mousepad), and an easy to find "Add to Cart" link so I could make my purchase.
Folks, this is t-shirt shopping at its finest.
Tons of funny, campy, quick witted original t-shirt designs, lots of size and color options, an easy to navigate website.
All this makes for a very pleasant shopping experience. If you like funny t-shirts, sort of in the style of Gary Larson's "The Far Side" cartoons, check out EbayNHam.
Dude, WTF is up with you if you don't like this t-shirt store?

Bored Me To Death
I haven't reviewed a t-shirt for a while. I was going to say that it was because the t-shirts I've been seeing for the past few months have been boring me to death. Thereby cleverly tying it into today's t-shirt review.
That would have been a lie.
I've purchased several t-shirts in the past few months...some pretty damn good t-shirts if I do say so my self. More than a few from ThreadLess, some from CafePress, and some from random t-shirt shops that I've come across.
Today, this t-shirt stuck out. It reminded me why I love t-shirts. It actually motivated me enough to want to get back into writing about tees again. T-Shirts can capture an idea, a thought, or an feeling in an instant.
One look at this t-shirt and you get the message right away. Quit talking...'cause what you're saying is boring the muck out of me.
Simple, effective, and with a splash of attitude. Just how I like my t-shirts. Oddly enough, that's how I like my BlackJack dealers when I hit the casinos.
If you like t-shirts with attitude, this "Bored Me to Death" t-shirt should be added to your shopping list. I just added it to mine!
