please don't eat me pig

Over the weekend I got a cool t-shirt from DBK Apparel (actually several cool shirt)!

The front of the t-shirt is screen printed with a picture of a cute pig saying "Please don't eat me..."

However, a wise man once said:

"...Yeah but bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste good"

I remember when I was growing up, my parents decided we were all going to be vegetarians. It was sort of out of the blue, and at the time I really didn't know what a "vegetarian" was.

They said we would only be eating nice, healthy vegetables and cutting out all the hamburgers and hotdogs. Obviously, this is not good news for a kid. I wasn't a big fan of vegetables (broccoli still makes me gag) and the thought of not having a Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonald's was sort of a shock to my young ears (note to self: don't let my kids eat Quarter Pounders With Cheese until they are at least 16!)

The thing that I remember the most for that vegetarian week (my dad loved a good steak to much to hold out much longer than that), was that we couldn't have pepperoni. Who says pepperoni is meat? What kind of pepperoni cow gives us that taste pizza topping anyway?!

Turns out pepperoni is made from cute pigs.
