t-equalizer flashwear

This may be the coolest t-shirt I've purchased this year.

I don't know if you can get one delivered to you this New Years Eve, but trust me, you want to try.

You can buy them in the US at softhut.com, or if you're in Canada or any where else in the world, you can pick them up at tqualizer.biz (you can save 10% with the coupon: tenpoints at t-qualizer.biz).

Seriously, go get one.

I first heard about this t-shirt technology in an old thread at the t-shirtforums. Then recently, the owner of tqualizer.biz joined the forums and really went into more detail about what the t-shirts did and how they looked.

After checking out the videos on the site, I was sold.

Get this. The shirt has an equalizer on the front of the shirt that actually "hears" the music you're playing and lights up to beat of the music. Synchronized better than the 1992 US synchronized swimming team in the XXV Olympiad in Barcelona.

When you're at your New Years Eve party with the sounds bumpin', your shirt will have its groove on even if you've lost yours.

Sure, it's a bit of a novelty item. But it appeals to my geek side, my t-shirt lovin' side, and my music lovin' side. How could an item that combines all three be bad? How I ask?!

So after checking out the tqualizer.biz website and realizing that I couldn't order an XXLarge shirt from them, I sent them and email. Michael, from the site, quickly responded and referred me to their US distributor softhut.

The ordering process was quick and easy and I had my flashwear t-shirt in a few days.

Since it's got technology all inside it, you have to hand wash it, but it's so worth it :)

Here's a few photos of the t-shirt and a little video I made of my shirt grooving out to Lupe Fiasco's mixtape, "It was written". The song's called "Mean and Vicious". The shirt's just cool.

Happy Ending Massage

"I got my technique down and everything. I don't be tickling or nothin'" - J Winnfield

In my opinion, there are pretty much two types of people in the world. Those who get "Pulp Fiction" and those who don't.

In 1994, when Pulp Fiction was released, I happened to be working in a small town movie theatre here in California. I remember our theatre had the teaser poster for the movie hanging in our lobby for about 3 months before the movie came out.

We used to make fun of the poster because we thought it was a stupid name for a movie, and the poster seemed pretty cheesy as far as movie poster artwork went.

When the actual movie came out, needless to say, most of us were eating crow. Pulp Fiction is now in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Opinions are pretty mixed on the film, but I think if it hadn't came out in same year as Forrest Gump, it probably would have won the Oscar for best picture. At least it got its props in the American Film Institute's top 100 movies of all time list.

Although I quote Jules in the opening paragraph of this review of One Night Stand Outfitter's Happy Endings t-shirt, I have to say I don't agree with his philosophy on (foot) massages.

I probably have corrupted my own mind on this one, but massages mean something. I don't think I could go to a Certified Massage Therapist or get a massage at a resort spa. Seems a bit too personal of an experience to share with a stranger.

At the same time, I get the feeling that I may have succumbed to a media bias against commercial massage parlors. I'm sure there are legitimate massage practitioners out there, but the fact that this shirt plays to a stereotype that has a small root in truth, adds a bit of extra funny to the design.

Check out this "surveillance photo" I took recently of an actual massage business called "Good Hand". Seems like the businesses themselves have a sense of humor :)

I'm not ashamed to say that: I like funny t-shirts. When done right, there is definitely a level of creativity and artistry that goes into creating a funny t-shirt design. Not all funny t-shirts hit the mark, but I think a lot of the vintage styled funny t-shirt designs at One Night Stand Outfitters are a nice blend of matching the right motif with the right slogan.

I think it actually boils down to the fact that "I like funny". Just as it takes skill to be a successful comedian and to deliver a funny joke, it takes skill to design and deliver a well done funny t-shirt.

If you're a fan of funny t-shirt slogans and vintaged styled designs, definitely check out One Night Stand Outfitters. I like their take on the funny business name t-shirt genre :)
