Babies Sound Like Raptors

2008 has blessed me with a baby raptor.

Not literally a baby raptor, but just a super cute, figurative raptor. Our bundle of joy was born on January 14, 2008 and even though she was our third, it was still as exciting and amazing to bring a new life into the world as it was 4 years ago when we had our first child.

That being said. As cute as our little baby is, Brad from Quixotic Clothing couldn't have been more insightful as when he dreamt up and designed the Babies Sound Like Raptors design.

As soon as I saw this phrase as a small pin button on the Quixotic Clothing site, I knew it would make a super dope t-shirt design.

Kudos (kudos? since when have I ever started saying kudos? That's just crazy talk. Please poke me with a hanger if I say kudos again) Much respect to Brad for not just taking the money phrase and just slapping it on a t-shirt. That would have been the easy way out. Leave that easy way out for those of us (like me) with zero graphic skill or artistry. Brad stepped up the slogan game by taking the time to work out an original drawing that compliments the slogan design just perfectly. A perfect hand drawn raptor in a bonnet under the stacked text make this design stand out above most other witty phrased t-shirts.

The Quixotic Clothing website is easy to navigate. When you hit the front page, there are no annoying "splash" pages or flash intros that try to show you how cool the web designer is.

Nope, once you land on quixotic-clothing.com you get straight to the good stuff. Clear thumbnails of each t-shirt design for sale with the ability to add one to your shopping cart without leaving the front page. This is something I don't think I've seen done before on any other t-shirt site, and it's actually pretty ingenious. The less clicks it takes for me to pull out my wallet and buy, the better. I like to get my t-shirt fix fast :)

You can also click on any t-shirt design to see a larger view of the design and read what the cool descriptions the designer has given to each product. Another nice touch that not enough t-shirt sites take advantage of. Use those descriptions! I like to laugh or read insight when I'm getting my t-shirt fix.

They have a wide range of t-shirt designs for sale at Quixotic-Clothing.com. Some funny, some vintage styled, some just plain weird (the good weird, not the windigo movie weird)

If you're a certified t-shirt junkie like me who likes some variety, be sure to check out the cool designs at QC. If you're a parent and you know the reality of raptor feedings every 2-3 hours during the night, you should definitely pick up the Babies Sound Like Raptors t-shirt.

My wife wore my t-shirt when she was 9months pregnant and got lots of laughs and comments on the shirt. I just wore it this weekend and at least 3 people stopped me to comment on how cool the t-shirt design was. A few fellow dads just gave me the knowing nod that signaled they knew what's up :)

If you're about to do some shopping at Quixotic Clothing, be sure to use the coupon code: indie-threads to get 15% off your order.
