work is the curse of the drinking classes

Somehow Use Small Words snuck into my soul and found my other secret love (besides t-shirts).

Cool Glasses!

So imagine my joy when I opened up a package from the Use Small Words clothing line and found a cool t-shirt AND a high quality pint glass with a matching print!

It's always refreshing to see a new clothing brand that sticks their neck out to try something different to make themselves unique.

Part of launching a successful clothing line online is putting together a cohesive "brand" for your line. There are so many things that can make up a brand. From the voice or "persona" you write your website with, the the overall layout of your website, the way you blog, what unique products or finishing touches you add to your line or your shipped product, etc.

It's all these "little things" can make me as the customer:

  • Want to take out my wallet and buy your product. Economy be damned!

  • Make me REMEMBER your clothing line among the 1000's of others

  • Make me want to rave about your clothing line whenever something triggers a memory of my shopping experience. That leads to more people buying your products.

I get to tell my friends that love words, my friends that love drinking and my friends that just love cool t-shirts about this one!

The Use Small Words designs are professionally screen printed on very comfortable, super soft, American Apparel t-shirts. They also get extra points for carrying their cool designs up to size XXL!

They package the t-shirts (and pint glasses) in a cool burlap sack. My package arrived nicely wrapped and fully intact from their Colorado location.

One of the things that really stands out to me is their beautiful (and functional) website. Now, I've been developing websites for over 12 years now, so I'm pretty jaded :) But when you get to the UseSmallWords.com website, you can see the care and the attention to detail that went into creating a site that not only "looks" good, but also "works" well. Too many sites these days pick form over function...so it's very nice to see a site that shows the reality that a site can be strikingly beautiful and eye catching and still be easy to navigate and present the product in a clear fashion. Just clicking around the UseSmallWords website gives you the feel that you're shopping at a company that believes in its products and it's vision.

If you're in the market for a literary type t-shirt, or you need a new set of pint glasses for your professor type friends, check out the Use Small Words site!

It looks like they only launched recently (as of this writing), but I'm excited to see what designs they come up with next.
