Opera Browser
If you haven't used the Opera internet browser yet, you are definitely missing out.
I've been using Opera for a few years now, and with each new version of the software, they consistently get better and better. Unlike other software companies, Opera Software actually works to make LESS bloated software. That means faster loading on startup, faster loading web pages, and a browser that will run well on all systems (From unix, to windows, to macs!)
Worried about if you will be able to view your favorite sites? No worries! The latest version of Opera adheres completely to accepted web standards such as HTML, XML, XHTML, WML, CSS, and DOM.
If you try out the free version of Opera (has a small banner ad in the top corner), you will soon be wondering why you've been bothering with IE and Netscape for so many years. There IS another option, and the option is good :-)
After a few weeks of using Opera I decided to buy the banner-less version of the browser. 1) Because I wanted to support a company that had noble ideals like making a browser that is accessible to all, fast and clean, and easy to use and 2) because I wanted those 468 pixels back on my screen.
I'm still working my way into becoming a power Opera user. There are so many keyboard shortcuts and customizations available, it can easily change and enhance the way you surf the web.
Now if they only added the ash gray t-shirts to their cafepress store, I'd be able to add an Opera T-Shirt to my collection! You can still get yours today!
