corny knows vintage
My wife laughed out loud when she saw me wearing this corny t-shirt.
To me, that's the ultimate barometer of a t-shirt's worthiness. She's seen me wear so many different t-shirt designs that almost nothing I wear gets a reaction out of her anymore. Funny tees, offensive tees, witty tees, pretty artistic t-shirts, weird shirts, she's seen them all.
I guess that's what happens when you marry a certified t-shirt junky.
Every now and then I try to slide a new t-shirt past her without the usual "whaddaya think of this one, honey?" enquiry.
I wore my Corny Knows You Da Man tee when we were headed out to breakfast last Sunday. As I came downstairs, I see her looking at me and snickering. I didn't have any boogers (I checked before I came downstairs), so I knew something had to be up.
"That's a cool t-shirt...where did you get that one?"
"Online"
"Shoulda guessed :)"
Any t-shirt that can get a smile out of my wife gets extra points in my book.
Visiting the fatdoug website is a t-shirt shopper's dream. When you hit the homepage, you are presented with quick thumbnail images of all the t-shirts fatdoug has for sale.
Clicking on any thumbnail will take you to a very nicely laid out product page with a clear image of the vintage t-shirt design actually printed on the t-shirt (which gives you a better idea of how the actual printing looks before you buy).
Fatdoug includes a handy product sizing table on each product page to help you figure out which size will best fit you. They carry size small through XXL in most of their designs.
These screen printed designs aren't expensive either. It seems Fatdoug is not only fat, but thrifty as well. All tees start at just $9.99 each! Less than $10 bucks for a cool vintage tee, that's a gimme.
If I had to find one negative aspect about the fatdoug shopping experience, I would say that the bravenet popup/under thingamajig that happens when you navigate some of the pages of the site is a bit of a pain. It took over my firefox browser window and tried to resize my browser (hint hint fatdog if you're listening :) (fatdoug listened...see comments below :)
