Anyone in there late 20's remeber's this gaming icon before gaming was even a term!

You and me sat around and played Pong until our wrists hurt. We marveled at the 8 bit graphics and wondered how anything be so entertaining for so long.

If we didn't have an Atari of our own, we knew at least 2 friends who did, and who were available at the ring of a doorbell. Hours of our lives were spent watching the square ball bounce from left to right (and hopefully back to the left again).

Yes, we moved on from Pong when Pac Man came around...but we never forgot. A few of us still have our Atari 2600 tucked away in the closet for those rainy days.

We've got our big screen TVs, high speed internet access, Playstation 2, Xbox, or Gamecube (or if you're like me, you some managed to accumulate all 3). We've got our flash online games, mulitplayer world of The Sims, and maybe even some neat time wasters on our cell phone.

But those of us who were in awe back then will never forget. It started with pong, it started with Atari. Where will it take us next? AddThis Social Bookmark Button
